Becoming an Educational Member gives you the opportunity to meet and dialogue with industry professionals, educators, students and graduates both from home and abroad, in fact anyone who shares a common professional interest in architecture, engineering and scenic arts. It’s an opportunity to gain first-hand experience and knowledge from experts in their chosen field. What’s more, you too can present your work, share your ideas and experience with others.
VOCATIONAL COURSES FOR TUTORS IN FURTHER EDUCATION
SCSA organises vocational courses in Architecture & Performing Arts, specifically designed for educators. The programme consists in a series of refresher seminars on technical aspects of the planning and construction of sets, urban architecture, lighting design, sound engineering and mechanical engineering. Particular attention is paid to the use of new technologies and applications for theatre design. Courses are held over one to three days. Practitioners and educators with long experience in their respective fields are invited to share their thoughts and ideas on working towards a common exchange of work experience and know-how.
We turn to universities and design schools in particular in order to collaborate on the diffusion of documentation and research papers that can contribute to the vocational courses. We are especially interested in giving prominence to documentation that contributes to knowledge-sharing in the field of contemporary scenography.
