SYMPOSIUM ON ARCHITECTURE
SAIE 2012 Bologna Fiere (18 – 21 October 2012)
INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON ARCHITECTURE AND ENGINEERING
FOR THE ENTERTAINMENT AND LEISURE INDUSTRY
SCSA and IFSArts present four days of talks, seminars and gatherings with internationally renowned stage design and theatre professionals at SAIE, a collective debate on contemporary scenic space. We'll be looking at how design for the performing arts has evolved through the harnessing of new techniques and technologies.
At the exhibition centre, four days of dialogue (18-21 Oct.) take place with those involved in the design and construction of theatres, and architects who have revived La Fenice, the Bolshoi, La Scala and the Petruzzelli opera houses.
The aim of the symposium is to foster research and occupational training by motivating dialogue among those involved in the creation of scenic space, be it a new construction ex novo or the renovation of an existing facility. To achieve this aim we have invited architects, engineers, stage designers, consultants and technicians to discuss ideas throughout the day’s programme of talks.
